Kostas Karafotis was born in 1978 in Thessaly where he grew up. After finishing high-school he decided to pursue a degree in medicine in Sofia, Bulgaria. Music was alwaus a part of his life with Kostas deciding to learn to play the traditional Greek instrument “bouzouki” at age 8. Alongside his university studies he took part in the popular TV show “Fame Story 2” where he soon became a favorite of the audience because of his strong vocals and impressive stage presence.
In March 2005 he released his debut album titled “ImeEdo” with songs penned by the notable and respected Greek composer Antonis Vardis. More studio albums followed as well as hit singles which established him as a prominent laiko performer.
He has collaborated with top Greek artists like GiorgosMazonakis, Stamatis Gonidis, Helena Paparizou, Peggy Zina and many more in sold-out live shows both in Greece and abroad. In 2022 he signed with Heaven Music and released a new version of his song “S’ Anazito” which was a viral success.
