Μαρία Καρλάκη

Maria Karlaki was born and raised in Drama, Greece. Music was part of her life from an early age, starting with traditional Greek music when she was 7. Maria earned a degree in traditional Greek music as well degrees in alternative medicine and physiology. At the same time she practiced elocution, acting, jazz and Byzantine music.

In 2006 Maria took part in the popular TV program “Dream Show” where she earned rave reviews both for her stage presence and vocal skills.

Two years later she released her multiplatinum debut album titled “Apisteyto” which included the hit single “Sto Idio Kazani”. Her sophomore effort “Enstikto” came in 2012 which was also re-released along with 2 new tracks in 2013. More hit singles followed such as “Pare Me Stin Agalia”, “Kati Den Kaname Kala” and “Tharos I Alithia”.

A special place in Maria’s discography is reserved for her well-received covers of popular songs such as “YaremYarem” and “Rina Katerina”.

In 2021 she collaborated with noted DJ and producer Roni Iron, releasing “Hadi Gel” which was included in the world famous Buddha Bar collection. Maria sings in Turkish, to lyrics she co-wrote herself.

Maria Karlaki also impressed audiences with her acting skills in the hit TV show “Kokino Potami”. She has worked with all the top Greek recording artists such as Nikos Oikonomopoulos, Natasa Theodoridou, Konstantinos Argiros, Themis Adamantidis, Paola, PanosKiamos, Giannis Vardis, Christos Mendidiatis, Angela Dimitriou, Padelis Padelidis and many more.
